Shreejana’s story began like that of many young girls in Nepal. Born into poverty, she lacked education, healthcare, and opportunity. At the age of six, she began her journey with Hands in Outreach @handsinoutreach, attending school from 9 to 5 while still cooking, cleaning, and taking care of her little sister in her family’s one room shack. She persevered and finished high school, topping her class with A+ marks on her final exams. We will follow Shreejana as she pursues a career in teaching girls like herself, girls whom Gendercide Awareness Project @gendap sponsors in partnership with Hands in Outreach. When girls and women succeed, everyone benefits.
