The girls in this photo were fortunate to complete high school. But so many others drop out due to pregnancy or early marriage. The Gendercide Awareness Project is partnering with Uganda Empowers @UgandaEmpowers to help teen girls who’ve been left behind. Namyalo (not her real name), now 15 years old, became pregnant last year and left school. She lived an impoverished life with a sister and her mother, who was struggling with HIV. But Namyalo had always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. Now, she has a chance for tailoring training with support and guidance from @UgandaEmpowers. Namyalo hopes to create a small business to help her child and family. The Gendercide Awareness Project proudly shares @UgandaEmpowers’ vision of empowering “our sisters” toward a better tomorrow.
