Many young girls living in poor rural Uganda find it hard to imagine their lives outside the expected realm of early marriage, but Uganda Empowers supports girls and women who dream of supporting themselves. This young girl is being enrolled in a vocational training program sponsored by the Gendercide Awareness Project in partnership with Uganda Empowers@ugandaempowers.  She will be supported while acquiring the skills to realize her dream of becoming a “famous hair designer” in a safe learning environment.
