Imagine running a marathon to spread awareness for a girl’s right to be educated,to play and be empowered. In Anupshahr, Northeast India, girls attending Pardada Pardadi Educational Society will be joined by their brothers, fathers, friends and “thousands of rural girls” running for living a life of dignity and respect in the 6th annual half-marathon sponsored by @PardadaPardadi on November 17, 2019. They hope to change the mindsets of the surrounding communities: making them cherish their daughters instead of seeing them as a burden.
