We received this heartfelt message from a young Afghan advocate for girls’ education:

“We hope. We all have only hope in Afghanistan now. Without hope we have nothing here. Everything is closed for us.  We girls women can’t go anywhere alone — even schools, universities are still closed. The world is silent.  We are the victims of this injustice because the world sees the Taliban on television, but we see them in real life in front of our eyes … how they are playing with our education right and with our dreams.  But we all have hope that we will find a path to a safe and educated life to get our country once again in our control and raise our educated voice to the whole of Afghanistan to educate your daughter. Her small hands will change the world.”
