In her tiny, mud-floor home in Kathmandu, Binita is studying for the Medical Exam.  It will determine if she can fulfill her dream to become a nurse, medical technician, or dental hygienist.

Our education partner Hands in Outreach, HIO educates and mentors Nepalese girls in deep-rooted poverty from preschool through college. In addition to paying for schooling, HIO provides English langauge education, starting with ZOOM Story time for young learners. The Coming of Age initiative fosters self-confidence as girls become tweens.  And in high school, Reach for the Stars provides sisterhood and much needed college and career counseling.
