Kathleen Sams began working with the Gendercide Awareness Project in September of 2015. She advised the organization on social media, marketing, and direct impact strategies. Kathleen was asked to join the executive board in February of 2016.
A recent graduate of Austin College, she developed a lifelong passion for human rights and social justice through her work as Secretary and Vice President of the Amnesty International chapter at Austin College. She also served for two years as Head Delegate of her team for international Model United Nations conferences, held in New York and China.
After joining Gendap, she arranged for a Spring 2016 soft opening of the travelling art exhibit at her alma mater Austin College in Sherman, Texas in conjunction with the Posey Leadership Symposium with honorees Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. Kathleen continues to find a passionate outlet for her interest in human rights and social justice through her work with the Gendercide Awareness Project.
