“Today I visited the workshop where they are going to make the booties.
It is an organization that teaches very low income women crafts to help them make more money to support their families.
I presented to them your organization and showed them your website. They were in tears and were eager to participate.
They all live in the poorest neighborhoods of Mexico City and have experienced first hand the violence and pain caused by the kidnapping and permanent disappearance of girls and women.
They are wonderful people and felt so moved to think that someone in the US was doing something for them. Thank you!”
Hearing from women like this reminds us why we do what we do. If only we could do more!
